Spend a day exploring the Elan Valley where you’ll be mesmerised by its natural beauty, calmed by the gentle sound of its meandering waterfall and charmed by the hum of wildlife.

Entering into the heart of the home, the open-plan living space is a fantastic place to get together with three sumptuous sofas circled positioned around the crackling wood burner and a TV for evenings spent sharing stories with one another. An elegant dining table for eight sits behind the seating area where meals can be served up for breakfast, lunch and dinner. When it’s time to get cooking, the kitchen is bright and spacious with ample storage space for all of your produce, snacks and treats. Twp king-size zip-and-link bedrooms sit on the ground floor with natural wood furnishings and one boasts an en-suite wet room. A stylish family wetroom is also located on the downstairs floor for convenience. Up the staircase, you’ll find two further king-size bedrooms, the first of which benefits from a free-standing bath for ultimate relaxation as well as a beautiful balcony overlooking the lake. The second king-size bedroom also enjoys a free-standing bath and an en-suite wet room, as well as gorgeous countryside views to the rear of the lodge. Step outside and you’ll be welcomed into the enclosed terrace which is fully covered for your enjoyment whatever the weather. Dine al fresco with the charcoal BBQ or gaze out at the starry skies from the six-person hot tub to soak up the tranquillity of the area.

Get ready for an adventure on a visit to Rhayader, the ‘outdoor capital of Wales’, where you can stock up on fresh produce before exploring the majestic dams and reservoirs of the Elan and Claerwen Valleys for the day. Bird lovers must visit the Red Kite Centre to see the feeding station, a truly mesmerising experience which happens each day at 2 pm. Here you can stop off for a coffee and a cake before exploring the farm further with a fascinating trail around the 160-acre landscape.

This is a beautiful Lodge. It came with the unexpected use of a games room which is great for kids in wet weather. The hot tub was a great size and very clean. Good location for travelling (driving) to other places and plenty of parking space. The whole place is spacious with very good decor and very comfortable and clean. Andrew, the host, wasRead more always quick to respond to messages and happy to help with anything. I would highly recommend and would be very happy to stay again. In fact we were very sad to leave. This was a great venue for a family get together. The visit to see Andrew's new born lambs was a delightful bonus. We have already recommended this lodge to friends! Thankyou

The lodge is the perfect place for family or friends to come together and enjoy a restful time away. Plenty to do and see and was even invited by the owners to visit their farm to see the new lambs. Every room was a luxury space and very comfortable. Plenty to do at the lodge on rainy days with the hot tub and games room. Will definitely visit agaiRead moren !!! Hide

We have just returned from the most beautiful holiday in the gorgeous lodge and setting. It was a small slice of pure relaxation and Andrew was brilliant & responsive if we needed anything. We had brilliant weather and the surrounding area was so lovely for walking or just viewing. Definitely go back again just perfect!

Just back from a wonderful stay at Red Kite Stargazing Lodge. The lodge is stunning, with everything you could possibly need. The large decking area with hotub is a lovely place to relax and unwind with friends & family. It is so quiet and peaceful here. The small town of Rhayader is only a few minutes drive away with places to have a bite to eat. Read moreThe Flag & Lamb being our favourite pub to eat in. Great property and the bathrooms on top floor were excellent. Fabulous week with fabulous weather, was this really Wales? We loved the geese and goslings, certainly the perfect time to visit

We absolutely love this cabin, amazing space with a home feeling to it. Everything was decorated to perfection and had everything we needed from the microwave to the oven. The amazing views take it to another world. I definitely will be coming back to this amazing cabin. I miss it already.
